My interpretation of these photos is that Kanani is locked away in dreamland by a dreamcatcher she's found. The dreamcatcher is evil, however, and has used its magic to enchant Kanani so she'll never want to let go of it. As long as she keeps hold of it/is near it, she cannot escape dreamland.

that's a really cool interpretation and reminds me of this dance i was in in 5th grade. it was about a little girl {me} who visited a museum. in the museum, paintings {other girls holding frames} are trying to trap the little girl to keep her there forever and make her part of the exhibit. the dance was to All the Rowboats by Regina Spector and the dance was contemporary. i was lifted a lot so it was fun.
